Applying 21st century skills (4 C's - communication, collaboration, critical-thinking and creativity), in fostering Connection. We exchange ideas while practising speaking, listening and honing our presentation skills. TED talks and YouTube clips are used as input.

If you already know some English and want to improve, this course is for you. In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll build vocabulary and grammar skills and gain confidence in everyday communication. By the end, you’ll be able to join simple conversations and understand pre-intermediate texts more easily.

Dieser Kurs richtet sich an alle Menschen, die vormittags Zeit haben und gerne in Ruhe und ohne Eile Englisch lernen möchten. Ob Englisch für den Urlaub oder einfach, um sich geistig fit zu halten: Jeder ist willkommen!

Es ist nie zu spät, Englisch zu lernen! Wir machen den Anfang - mit ersten Wörtern, kurzen Sätzen für den (Urlaubs-)Alltag und grundlegenden Grammatikkenntnissen. Ein Lehrbuch bildet die Grundlage, die durch abwechslungsreiche sonstige Texte und Übungen ergänzt wird. Der Kurs findet Online in einer kleinen Gruppe statt, so dass jeder aktiv mitwirkt, und richtet sich an "absolute beginners".

Im English Book Club lesen wir einen spannenden Krimi oder Thriller, den wir am ersten Unterrichtsabend auswählen werden, und begeben uns auf Spurensuche... Close Reading und Fragen zum Text frischen vorhandene Englischkenntnisse auf und erweitern sie. Wenn es gewünscht ist, lesen wir zwischendurch hin und wieder einen Artikel über ein interessantes Thema und/oder schauen uns ein Video an, worüber wir anschließend diskutieren.

Practising your Business English in a small group with a native speaker will help make you more efficient in the workplace. In this course you will learn how to express yourself more fluently and confidently when communicating with fellow professionals - whether on the telephone, face-to-face or in writing. You will carry out a variety of communicative activities including role plays and writing emails.

"The customer is always right". Dealing with customers can sometimes be a challenge, especially when you’re doing it in a foreign language. In this course you will practice communicating clearly and efficiently with customers in a variety of business situations: -Giving customers product and pricing information -Processing customer enquiries -Dealing with customer complaints -Maintaining positive relationships with customers Emphasis is on oral communication. A wide range of role plays, adapted to suit you and your company, will improve your fluency and confidence in the workplace. In addition, you will receive individual feedback on your language skills and a "next steps" study plan which has been customized to suit your exact needs.

4 days of intensive training in business communication. The Focus is on business topics- virtual international meetings, cross cultural training , negotiating, selling, presentations (presentation techniques)  and case studies. To provide the best support participants are expected to share any of their topics and issues in these sessions.

HERE WE ARE - an English language conversation “Stammtisch” We are an English language conversation group and we have been meeting for the past forty years. Should you enjoy talking in English and discussing various topics, you would be most welcome to join us. We always meet at a restaurant in the Esslingen area on a Monday evening.
